Can adenoid facies be treated at 16 years old?

Even at the age of 16, adenoid facies can still be treated scientifically and effectively. Adenoid facies is a condition that causes abnormalities in the development of the face, mainly due to enlarged pharyngeal tonsils, or adenoid hypertrophy, which affects the development of the facial bones. Although the treatment of adenoid facies is more effective the earlier the patient is treated, it does not mean that the patient cannot be treated at the age of 16. Individuals with adenoid facies at the age of 16 who have protruding or uneven teeth as a result of the disease can go to the hospital for orthodontic treatment. The abnormal adenoids should also be surgically removed. For adolescents as young as 16, adenoid facies is largely established and is difficult to recover from, but targeted and appropriate treatment can improve some of the symptoms and prevent further exacerbation of the condition. Parents should be aware of adenoid facies and seek prompt medical attention and early intervention when they notice suspected symptoms in their children.
