2. Acute suppurative otitis media: mostly secondary to acute upper respiratory tract infections, the middle ear can be swollen and painful after the accumulation of pus. Early application of penicillin, cephalosporin and other antibiotics, nasal spray hydroxymetazoline and other decongestants, the use of 2% carbolic acid glycerin ear drops. If conservative treatment is not effective, tympanotomy can be chosen to fully drain the pus treatment.
