Some of the medications that can be taken for a fast heart rate are amiodarone, lidocaine, propafenone, etc.
A heart rate of 130 beats per minute is considered to be tachycardia, but the cause of tachycardia can be physiologic tachycardia, such as smoking, drinking coffee, and so on. However, the cause of tachycardia can be physiologic, such as smoking or coffee consumption, or pathologic, such as ventricular tachycardia or supraventricular tachycardia. Different interventions are needed for different causes.
1. Physiologic tachycardia: Tachycardia caused by exercise, coffee drinking, etc. does not require treatment and can be relieved by removing the trigger.
2. Ventricular tachycardia: Lidocaine is preferred for treatment, but propafenone should be used if accompanied by hemodynamic disorders.
3. Supraventricular tachycardia: adenosine is preferred for treatment, but propafenone should be preferred if the patient has cardiac insufficiency.
Any anti-arrhythmic drugs should be taken under the guidance of a doctor, not to be taken at will, and should be taken to a medical institution in a timely manner when serious discomfort occurs after taking the drug.
