What ointment is used for bed sores that heals quickly?

What ointment is used for bed sores that heals quickly? A patient’s family approached me at the Diabetic Foot and Slow Trauma Center and wanted to prescribe some herbal creams back from us that they intended to treat themselves for their family. Although TCM herbal creams are very effective in treating bedsores, I personally do not recommend that people treat them themselves. This is because, in order for a wound to grow flesh in Chinese medicine theory, it must be cleaned of rotten flesh. In addition to surgical debridement to remove rotten flesh, topical ointments such as decubitus ointment should be used to further dissolve and expel rottenness, thus allowing the badly rotten wound to become clean quickly. Many people do not pay attention to cleaning the wound during self-treatment, resulting in a large amount of dried scabs, pus and rotting flesh attached to the wound. These necrotic tissues not only prevent the wound from growing new flesh, but also breed germs and infections, causing the wound to deteriorate more and more. Similarly, if people smear their own medicine in aggravation and neglect the treatment and treatment of local wound debridement, the effect is equally bad. Moreover, many decubitus ulcer patients are not in good physical condition, and most need to be bedridden for a long time and cannot walk on the floor. This can lead to a series of other complex problems, such as slowed gastrointestinal motility, small food intake, insufficient absorption, nutritional deficiencies, low protein, etc., all of which can lead to non-healing bedsore wounds. Therefore, the preferred method is to clean the wound by a specialized stoma therapist based on the overall treatment of the patient to improve the physical condition, and then combine it with comprehensive treatment such as controlling infection, improving circulation, nourishing the wound and decomposing the muscle to make it possible for the decubitus ulcer to be cured. Therefore, we should not handle it blindly anymore, so as not to add to the already serious wound and cause serious physical and psychological harm.
