Dampness and heat should first identify the internal organs where the dampness and heat are retained, there are common liver and gallbladder damp-heat syndrome, bladder damp-heat syndrome, damp-heat in the spleen, colon damp-heat syndrome, etc., different types of modification of the method is different, and need to take different traditional Chinese medicine treatment. 1. Liver and gallbladder damp-heat syndrome: Clinical manifestations include distension and pain in the ribs, dullness (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), abdominal distension, generalized nausea and vomiting (nausea and wanting to vomit), bitter taste in the mouth and aversion to oil, yellowish coloring of the body and eyes, abnormal stools, short yellow urine; or cold and heat (body is hot and cold at the same time); or dampness in the pubic area, itching, eczema, and yellowish smelling underneath the belt. It can be treated with Gentian Diarrhea Liver Tang. 2. Damp-heat bladder syndrome: it manifests as frequent urination, urinary urgency, burning pain in the urethra, short, yellow or turbid urine, or blood in urine, or gravel in urine, as well as distension and pain in the abdomen, or pain in the waist and abdomen, or accompanied by fever. It can be treated with Ba Zheng San. 3. Dampness-heat embracing the spleen syndrome: it is mostly manifested as distension and stuffiness in the abdomen (feeling uncomfortable with flatulence in the abdomen), dullness, nausea, nausea and vomiting, bitter and sticky taste in the mouth, loose stools (the stools are not shaped, and there is a feeling of not being discharged after the stools are discharged), heavy and sleepy limbs (the limbs are weak and sinking), or heat in the body (the whole body feels hot, but the skin feels hot but it is not very hot), etc. It can be treated with Lian Pu Drink. Damp-heat syndrome of the large intestine: clinical manifestations include abdominal pain, diarrhea, burning heat in the anus, or violent diarrhea (sudden and urgent diarrhea) with yellowish color and foul taste; or dysentery with reddish-white, pus-filled blood, urgency, and heaviness (discomfort in the lower abdomen, wanting to defecate very much, and a feeling of incomplete defecation after defecation), and thirst.
