Duodenal bulbitis is an inflammatory disease that occurs in the bulb of the duodenum, which is a common gastrointestinal disorder. The duodenal bulb is located on the right side of the body mainly in the upper abdomen and is connected to the pyloric part of the stomach. Therefore, duodenal bulbitis usually has pain on the right side of the upper abdomen.
The main manifestations of duodenal bulbitis are epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, pain that is sometimes cyclical, hunger pains, and mild pressure in the epigastrium. In case of complication of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, black stools or vomiting of blood are also seen.
The diagnosis of duodenal bulbaritis relies on endoscopy and mucosal pathology.
