Ulcerative colitis: it is a chronic non-specific intestinal inflammatory disease, the etiology of which is unknown, mostly related to abnormal immune imbalance in the intestinal tract, endoscopic examination of the common continuous diffuse distribution of ulcerative lesions, lesions from the rectum retrograde to the proximal segment of the development of the whole colon and even up to the final segment of the ileum, most of the ulcers are shallow ulcers, which are manifested as diffuse congestion of the mucosa and edema, granularity.
2. Crohn’s disease: it is a chronic inflammatory granulomatous disease, mostly seen in the terminal ileum and adjacent colon (ascending colon). The lesions are segmental, longitudinal fissure ulcers, deeper ulcers can reach the whole layer, cobblestone-like appearance.
