What to do if you have a stomach flu

Gastrointestinal colds are predominantly viral infections and are common when there is a sudden change in climate. The treatment is based on symptomatic treatment such as stopping diarrhea, digestive aid and rehydration.
1. Stop diarrhea: diarrhea can be given montelukast for treatment, montelukast can adsorb intestinal toxins and viruses, and has the effect of protecting the intestinal mucosa.
2. Digestive aid: if there is a cold that causes gastrointestinal digestive enzyme secretion disorders, impaired digestive function, gastrointestinal spasm, can be given to the beneficial bacteria preparation (such as bifidobacteria), as soon as possible to establish the normal flora of the gastrointestinal tract.
3. Rehydration: when nausea, vomiting and diarrhea symptoms are severe, temporary diet, intravenous supplementation of balanced fluids and electrolytes, oral saline or infusion supportive therapy.
It should be noted that antibiotics are not advocated for the treatment of gastrointestinal colds and diarrhea, and berberine and norfloxacin can be used cautiously only when combined with bacterial infection.
In case of any of the above diseases, it is recommended to go to the hospital promptly for early and regular treatment. All the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist, avoid self-medication.
