What does an echogenic zone in the right ovary mean?

The presence of anechoic areas in the right ovary is considered to be a cystic structure because there is no substance in it and the sound waves are not reflected back in time after encountering it. This is not necessarily an abnormality, and can also occur if the right ovary happens to have follicular development. If the volume is relatively small, it is generally of little clinical significance, and you can continue to observe. If you are not sure, you can repeat the ultrasound and compare it with the previous examination, and most of them can make a more accurate diagnosis. If there is no clinical discomfort or symptoms, there should be no need to worry, it may be a developing follicle, you need to ask the treating doctor for details.
