We often encounter patients in outpatient clinics with significant acid reflux and heartburn symptoms, so the disease that gives us the first reaction is gastroesophageal reflux disease. Gastroesophageal reflux disease, as the name implies, is a disease in which stomach contents, including food, stomach acid and even bile, reflux into the esophagus and even the mouth, causing a series of symptoms. The most common symptoms of the disease are: heartburn and acid reflux. Heartburn: It is a burning-like discomfort behind the sternum, often occurring about one hour after a meal. Acid reflux: Reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus and mouth, which can be felt as sour taste. Treatment: 1. Diet and lifestyle adjustment: avoid overeating, suggest eating less and more meals, moderate activities after meals to speed up gastric emptying; avoid consumption of strong tea, coffee and chocolate. Obese patients need to lose weight and wear loose clothing to reduce intra-abdominal pressure; no food 2 hours before bedtime; for those who have conditions, the head of the bed can be too high when sleeping. 2.Medication: Routinely use drugs that inhibit stomach acid (such as omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole, etc.) and drugs that promote gastrointestinal motility (mosapride, itopride, etc.).
