Lung adenocarcinoma in advanced stage needs chemotherapy as long as chemotherapy is effective and patient’s condition permits. Chemotherapy can be considered for advanced lung adenocarcinoma if the lesion is not sensitive to targeted therapy or has been resistant to it, and some patients can control the progress and improve the quality of life. Before chemotherapy, the patient’s general condition should be fully evaluated to assess whether he/she can tolerate chemotherapy, so the patient needs to be thoroughly examined by the doctor. Chemotherapy may have adverse reactions, as far as possible to control the dose of chemotherapy, reduce the probability of adverse reactions, and improve the quality of life. After 2~3 cycles of chemotherapy, attention should be paid to assess the efficacy of the situation, to guide the choice of the next treatment program, the emergence of disease progression, timely replacement of chemotherapy program.
