White vinegar is generally not good for soaking gray nails. The main component of white vinegar is acetic acid, so if you soak it, it will kill the fungus on the surface, but there is no way to kill the fungus in the deeper layers of the nail plate or penetrate it, so it can’t treat gray nails. This method is not feasible, but at most, it is only a local disinfection or cleaning effect. For the treatment of gray nails, oral antifungal medications, such as oral itraconazole or terbinafine, are still required. Topical medications can be applied topically with antifungal applications such as amorolfine application.
