What is mixed liver cancer with cholangiocarcinoma?

Mixed hepatocellular carcinoma with cholangiocarcinoma refers to mixed hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, the incidence rate of which accounts for 0.4%-14.2% of the primary hepatocellular carcinomas, with high mortality rate and poor prognosis. The clinical features of mixed hepatocellular carcinoma are atypical, and the preoperative clinical diagnosis rate is extremely low, and definitive diagnosis requires postoperative pathological analysis. According to the microscopic structure, it is categorized into the following three types: 1. Separated type: it refers to the two cell tissues of hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocellular carcinoma with clear boundary, and the two kinds of cancer cells grow independently and usually do not fuse. 2. Migratory type: it refers to hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocellular carcinoma are not clearly demarcated and grow close to each other, although they have their own tumor tissues, with the progress of the disease, the two kinds of cell tissues may fuse with each other. 3. Intermediate type: refers to the mixed growth of hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocellular carcinoma within a single tumor, without clear demarcation. Patients should go to the hospital as early as possible and actively carry out treatment under the guidance of doctors to avoid delaying the condition.
