High thyroid peroxidase antibodies may be caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Graves’ disease and other diseases, which require targeted treatment under the guidance of a doctor, such as general treatment, medication and so on.
1. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis: If patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis are asymptomatic and have normal thyroid function, they can be followed up for observation and do not need treatment for the time being; if they are combined with hypothyroidism, they need to take levothyroxine sodium for treatment.
2. Graves’ disease: often combined with hyperthyroidism, hyperthyroidism needs to be treated with antithyroid drugs, such as propoxythiopyrimidine, etc., or iodine 131 treatment or surgical treatment can also be considered.
In case of high thyroid peroxidase antibodies, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
