Causes of summer water retention

Edema in summer may be caused by malnutrition, pregnancy, kidney disease, vascular disease and other factors.
1. Malnutrition: Edema can occur in summer when the appetite is poor, prolonged malnutrition, or protein malabsorption, usually starting from the feet and spreading to the whole body in severe cases.
2. Pregnancy: In summer, at the late stage of pregnancy, different degrees of edema may occur in the body, which belongs to physiological edema, and can subside by itself after delivery.
3. Kidney diseases: Kidney diseases, such as nephrotic syndrome, nephritis, etc., can also lead to edema in summer, mainly manifested as swelling of the lower limbs and eyelids, which may be accompanied by proteinuria, hematuria and other symptoms.
4. Vascular lesions: for example, varicose veins of the lower limbs, venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, etc., may lead to obstruction of blood circulation, which may easily cause edema, mainly manifested as edema of the lower limbs.
Summer edema, accompanied by other clinical symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical examination and treatment as soon as possible.
