What’s wrong with a hard nose that hurts when you press it?

The skin on the surface of the nose and the skin and mucous membrane of the nasal vestibule have many hair follicles and sebaceous glands, especially in the nasal vestibule. When air is inhaled through the nasal vestibule and nasal cavity, bacteria or viruses in the air will be attached to the nasal hairs. The nasal vestibule is a place where there are a lot of bacteria, and when the nose is often picked with unclean hands, the hair follicles can easily cause bacterial infection and produce nasal boils, which can be especially painful when they form because there is very little connective tissue under the skin. If it hurts when you press your nose, it may be the early stage of a boil, so you can apply antibiotic creams, such as mupirocin, and it will recover quickly. Do not press on the nose, as it can easily cause intracranial infection because there is no valve in the vein in this area and venous blood can flow backwards into it.
