Can I wear a hearing aid if I have no hearing?

Hearing aids cannot be worn without hearing. Hearing aids work by utilizing the remaining hearing in the ear to amplify the decibels of sound so that the patient’s hearing can be improved and he or she can hear.
Hearing loss can be categorized into conductive hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss, and mixed hearing loss. The degree of hearing loss can be categorized as mild, severe, profound, profound and total deafness. Hearing aids are generally used for patients with moderate to severe sensorineural hearing loss. Patients with partial residual hearing can hear sounds through the amplification effect of hearing aids.
In cases of profound and total deafness, where there is no hearing at all, cochlear implants can be tried, which are expected to improve hearing and quality of life.
