Azoospermia in a 70 year old may be related to diminished reproductive function and is a normal physiologic phenomenon. One should also be alert to the possibility of obstructive azoospermia and non-obstructive azoospermia. 1. Decreased reproductive function: the testicles and other sex organs of 70-year-olds gradually shrink and androgen secretion decreases, which can lead to decreased reproductive function. Due to the individual differences between different men, it is normal for some men to have azoospermia. 2. Obstructive azoospermia: besides normal physiological phenomenon, epididymal tuberculosis, bacterial infection, trauma and tumor compression may lead to blockage or destruction of vas deferens, which will lead to obstructive azoospermia. 3. Non-obstructive azoospermia: diseases such as hyperprolactinemia, testicular syringomyelia, varicocele, etc. may cause non-obstructive azoospermia. Azoospermia in 70-year-olds may also be caused by other factors, which cannot be accurately judged as physiological phenomena or pathological phenomena, and can be promptly consulted in regular hospitals. If the above mentioned diseases exist, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
