The most common cause of vague pain in the left lower abdomen in women is adnexitis. Of course, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic tumors and pregnancy-related conditions also need to be excluded. Ultrasound and gynecological examination are needed for left lower abdominal pain. If gynecological examination reveals thickening and pressure pain in the adnexal area, which are specific signs of adnexitis, antibiotic anti-infection treatment should be given.
