Swelling on both sides of the throat can be seen for many reasons, mainly due to tonsillitis, tonsillar tumors, lateral pharyngeal cord lesions and so on.
1. Tonsillitis: mostly caused by bacterial infection, can be manifested as swelling on both sides of the throat, if the acute stage can be accompanied by fever, chills, pharyngeal pain, dysphagia and other symptoms, while the chronic stage is not obvious.
2. Tonsillar tumor: such as papilloma of tonsil, which is generally benign, can be manifested as enlargement of both sides of the throat, accompanied by symptoms such as foreign body sensation, pain and bleeding in the throat.
3. Lateral pharyngeal cord lesions: mostly caused by bacterial virus microbial infection, inflammation repeatedly stimulate the lateral pharyngeal cord caused by edema, which can be manifested as enlargement of both sides of the throat, pharyngeal foreign body sensation, pain, swallowing aggravation.
Swelling of the two sides of the throat can also be seen in other causes, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease, timely treatment to avoid aggravation of the condition.
