Neurological movement disorders are movement disorders and the word neurological can be left out because movement disorders are all caused by neurological pathologies. Movement disorders include two main categories, excessive movement and decreased movement. Representative diseases include Parkinson’s, dystonia, Major’s syndrome, tics, chorea, and a host of other disorders. These disorders are relatively difficult to treat, but not incurable. In the early stages when they are relatively mild, they can be treated by pharmacological methods. In more severe cases, in the later stages, they can be treated by surgical methods. The name of the surgery is deep brain electrical stimulation therapy, also called brain pacemaker therapy, which is a treatment method to improve movement disorders by installing electrodes in the brain and giving micro-currents to stimulate the inner brain clusters.
