Do cervical cysts affect pregnancy?

Cervical cysts are one of the manifestations of chronic cervicitis, and whether they can affect pregnancy depends on the specific situation. First of all, cervical cysts are caused by the blockage of the glandular ducts in the cervical area for various reasons, which leads to the obstruction of the outward drainage of glandular secretions from the cervical glandular sac, which in turn leads to the development of cysts. The process of conception is that after the sperm enters the vagina, it passes through the cervical opening into the uterus and then into the fallopian tubes to unite with the egg, and after the union, it eventually lays on the endometrium of the uterus. If the cervical cyst has no complications and usually no discomfort, it will not lead to blockage of the cervical opening and will not affect the entry of sperm into the uterus, and usually will not affect pregnancy, and this condition usually does not require treatment. However, if the cervical cyst continues to develop or if the infection spreads to the surrounding area and affects the fallopian tubes, ovaries and other organs, it may cause inflammation of the fallopian tubes and lead to blockage of the fallopian tubes, which will affect the normal passage of eggs and lead to infertility. If you have a cervical cyst, it is best to go to the hospital gynecology department in time to let the doctor make a judgment and clarify the specific situation, and if you need treatment, you need to intervene as soon as possible to avoid aggravation.
