Zixue Dan also known as Zixue, “Wai Tai Secret Essentials” recorded Zixue formula for gold hundred taels, cold water stone three pounds, gypsum three pounds, three pounds of magnetite, talcum three pounds, Xuan Shen one catty, antelope horn chips five two, rhinoceros horn (water buffalo horn instead of) chips five two, ascending sesame one catty, Shen Xiang five two, clove one or two, green wood incense five two, licorice roasted eight two.
Zixue is a traditional Chinese medicine, the efficacy of which is to clear heat and open the orifices, rest the wind and stop spasms, and can be used to treat warm-heat disease, heat closure of the pericardium and heat and wind evidence. Clinical manifestations are high fever and irritability, delirium (delirium, nonsense), spasm, thirst and burning lips, red urine and constipation, red tongue, yellow dry moss, strong or stringy pulse, as well as children’s heat convulsions and other conditions.
