What to do about the redness and swelling of the penis of a 5-year-old child

A five-year-old child with a red and swollen penis needs to consider the possibility of glansitis or circumcision. This may be caused by contact with allergic substances, scratching or lack of hygiene, or exposure to other unclean substances. Once this happens, it is advisable to go to the hospital for a clear diagnosis. If it is diagnosed as glans circumcision, it is recommended to first wash it with warm water, or use a potassium permanganate bath, and then apply erythromycin ointment for treatment, in addition to keeping the area clean and hygienic, and not wet.
