Typically, when a tooth undergoes its first nerve killing treatment, the tooth will be in pain for a period of 3 hours to 1 day after the sealing medication. The medication used for sealing the tooth is a dental inactivator, which is a slow-release medication and has very little pain and mild side effects, so the patient’s comfort level will gradually improve and the pain is not very severe and within the tolerable range. After nerve killing, it is recommended that patients take some anti-inflammatory medications orally to assist in the treatment and reduce pain symptoms. Anti-inflammatory drugs can choose antibiotics, cephalosporins, erythromycin and so on. In addition, it should be combined with some anaerobic drugs, such as metronidazole, tinidazole, ornidazole, etc., all of which help to eliminate the inflammation.
