For patients who have urinary tract stones, there is no direct relationship between the risk of forming urinary tract stones and the consumption of eggs. This is because most of the chemical composition of urinary stones is dominated by calcium-containing stones, such as calcium oxalate stones, and in some patients, by uric acid stones. For the consumption of eggs, there is no direct increase in the patient’s risk of forming these calcium-containing stones or uric acid stones. However, for patients with hepatobiliary stones, many patients may have cholesterol stones due to intrahepatic bile duct stones or gallbladder stones. For this group of patients, the consumption of large amounts of eggs can significantly increase the cholesterol level in the patient’s body. Therefore, for patients with stones in the hepatobiliary system, excessive consumption of eggs can increase the risk of forming gallstones.
