Sudden pain in the left testicle is related to trauma, testicular torsion, orchitis, epididymitis, and should be promptly consulted for medication and surgical treatment.
1. Trauma: accompanied by a history of trauma to the left testicle, external impact and other causes of localized swelling and pain in the left testicle, should seek medical attention to check whether there is a testicular rupture, mild trauma observation and rest is the mainstay, supplemented by blood-activating drugs.
2. Testicular torsion: the interruption of testicular blood supply due to spermatic cord torsion can cause testicular necrosis in severe cases, which requires timely medical treatment and surgical resetting of the testicle, and the necrotic testicle needs to be removed.
3. Orchitis: due to bacterial, viral and other pathogens infection, manifested as sudden pain and swelling of testicles, also accompanied by high fever. It can be treated with empirical medication, commonly used antibiotics include aminoglycosides, cephalosporins, etc. Analgesics can be used if necessary.
4. Epididymitis: usually caused by bacterial infection, manifested by pain and swelling of the epididymis. Antibacterial drug treatment is the mainstay, and surgery is needed when necessary.
