How to reduce swelling and pain after a fall

In the early stages of a fall, cold compresses are needed to reduce swelling, and in the later stages, hot compresses or medications can be used to reduce swelling, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs can be used to relieve pain.
After a fall will cause soft tissue injury at the site of the fall, so early to take the correct treatment measures is an effective prerequisite for swelling and pain relief.
After a fall, acute soft tissue injury can cause oozing or ecchymosis caused by vascular injury, so early cold compresses can reduce oozing, thus reducing the degree of swelling. Later, when the swelling subsides, hot compresses can promote increased circulation and accelerate the dissipation of edema. The drug magnesium sulfate wet compresses can also promote local swelling.
After a fall, there will be some inflammatory reaction due to local soft tissue damage, resulting in further aggravation of pain symptoms, so oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic drugs such as ibuprofen, diclofenac sodium and other medications can be effective in controlling pain.
The treatment of swelling and pain relief after a fall should be carried out accordingly after the doctor has clarified the condition, and it is not recommended to take the swelling and pain relief drugs on your own.
