Diet after tooth extraction

After tooth extraction, you can usually eat after 2 hours. You should eat warm, cold, soft and sparse food, such as porridge, rice paste or a range of easy-to-digest foods such as bread, soft noodles, pasta, and soft vegetables, which will not affect the healing of the extraction wound. If there is a small amount of bleeding from the extraction wound, this is normal. Patients should not aspirate or spit out, as this can dislodge the clot, leading to secondary bleeding and symptoms of infection and bleeding after the extraction. If the patient has any discomfort, it is recommended that he or she should go to the hospital where the tooth was extracted for a follow-up appointment with the doctor.
