What a highly nearsighted eye looks like

Highly myopic eyes may have changes in appearance such as protruding eyeballs, fundus complications, and the need to wear glasses or squint when looking at things at a distance. 1. Protruding eyeballs: Since the eye axis is long and the volume of the orbit is certain in patients with high myopia, the appearance of the eyeballs may appear to be protruding. 2. Appearance of fundus complication: Examination of the eyeball will show that the depth of the anterior chamber is deeper, and the fundus may have complications such as leopard-shaped fundus, peripheral lattice-like degeneration of the retina, retinal clefts, choroidal atrophy, and so on. 3. Need to wear glasses or squint to see things at a distance: In patients with high myopia, after light passes through the refractive medium in the eye, it will be imaged in front of the retina, therefore, the patients will have blurred vision, and they need to wear glasses to correct their eyesight, or enhance the adjustment of the eyes through squinting and other actions to help see things at a distance clearly. When high myopia occurs, it is important to go to a regular institution to correct your vision and have regular checkups for vision tests.
