What is the nebulizer

Nebulized drugs are drugs used to treat respiratory diseases through the nebulized route of administration. They can generally be used to dilate the bronchial tubes, relieve cough symptoms, dilute sputum, facilitate coughing up of sputum, and also have anti-inflammatory effects. Commonly used nebulized drugs include budesonide suspension, which is a glucocorticoid-like drug. Bronchodilators, which are beta agonists, such as terbutaline sulfate nebulizer. Another more commonly used drug is salbutamol sulfate, which is also an anti-bronchoconstrictor. There are also anticholinergic drugs, such as ipratropium bromide solution.
