3 months after fracture is the “honeymoon period” for rehabilitation

Long-term braking will lead to contracture and adhesion of the adjacent joint capsule and surrounding ligaments and muscle tissues, eventually leading to reduced joint mobility and even joint stiffness, the worst result is that the joint is immobile; at the same time, when a joint surface fracture is involved, early exercise is beneficial to joint surface reconstruction and reduces the chance of arthritis. Early exercise is beneficial to joint surface reconstruction and reduces the chance of traumatic arthritis. If the first 3 months are missed and rehabilitation is carried out afterwards, the efficacy will be greatly reduced and the resulting dysfunction may not be regained. Therefore, the 3 months after fracture surgery is usually called the “honeymoon period” of rehabilitation.
