The “Spiritual Pivot – Five Changes” points out that “the five organs are soft and weak, good at disease elimination”; “small bones and weak flesh, good at disease cold and heat”; “rough reason and meat is not firm, good at disease paralysis.” Generally speaking, children’s internal organs are delicate, the body is not strong, prone to coughing and wheezing, abdominal drainage, food accumulation and other diseases; older people, the five organs are more deficient, the body becomes weak, prone to phlegm, coughing and wheezing, dizziness, palpitations, thirst and other diseases; fat people or phlegm and dampness within the Sheng, prone to stroke, dizziness; thin people or Yin deficiency of the body, prone to consumption, cough and other diseases; Yang weak Yin Sheng body prone to liver depression and stagnation of the evidence. The change in the bi-polygamy of the qi in the body creates a potential environment for the development of emotions in the body, making people more reactive to external stimuli and making the production of emotional symptoms selective and tendentious. For example, Suwen – Xuanming Five Qi points out that “Essence and heart is happy, and lung is sad, and liver is worried, and spleen is fearful, and kidney is afraid.” In addition, the occurrence of hereditary diseases, congenital diseases, and the formation of allergic constitution are also closely related to individual constitution. This is because different races, ethnicities, families have different long-term genetic factors and living environment conditions, which form the differences in physique, i.e., different susceptibility to certain diseases, resistance to disease and immune response. Explain the principle of pathogenesis] The strength of the body determines the onset of disease and its development. Generally speaking, a strong body is strong and resistant to disease, so it is difficult for evil to invade the body and cause disease; a weak body is weak and resistant to disease, so it is easy for evil to invade the body and cause disease. In the process of onset of disease, depending on the differences in physical constitution, the disease may occur immediately, or after the onset of voodoo, or recur from time to time, and the type of clinical symptoms after the onset of disease also varies from person to person. Therefore, whether the human body can feel evil and develop disease depends mainly on the individual’s physical condition. This is not only true for the onset of external diseases, but also for the onset of internal miscellaneous diseases, which are closely related to the body constitution. The “Medical Zong Jinjian – the key to the heart method of miscellaneous diseases” says: “Where the nine qi (anger, joy, sadness, fear, cold, Gui, fright, labor, thought) of the disease, strong people get the qi line and heal; weak people get the qi for the disease.” It means that for some emotional stimuli, the onset of disease in the body is not only related to the type of stimulus and its quantity and quality, but more importantly, to the body’s constitution. The occurrence of disease is also influenced by various factors such as environment (including climate, geographical factors, living and working environment and social factors), diet, nutrition, heredity, age, gender, emotion, labor and rest, etc. All these factors lead to the occurrence of disease by affecting the state of the body’s constitution and decreasing the body’s ability to regulate and adapt. The general rule of subordination is: for those with Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity, their functional activities are relatively hyperactive and they tend to heat up after being exposed to evil; for those with Yang deficiency and Yin hyperactivity, their functional activities are relatively insufficient and they tend to cold up after being exposed to evil; for those with fluid deficiency and blood depletion, they tend to dry up after being exposed to evil; for those with Qi deficiency and moisture hyperactivity, they tend to wet up after being exposed to evil. Physical factors determine the transmission of disease. Those with a strong constitution have sufficient positive energy and strong ability to resist evil, so they are generally not easily affected by evil, and even if they do develop, they are mostly real evidence of intense struggle between positive and evil, and although the disease is acute, it is not easily transmissible and the course of the disease is short. If the body is weak, it is not only easy to feel the evil, and easy to deepen, the condition is variable, easy to occur serious or dangerous evidence; if in the late stage of the disease of the positive deficiency of the evil, a lot of consumption of essence and yin and Yang, the body is not easy to recover; if suffering from certain chronic diseases, the disease is slower, the course of the disease is lingering, difficult to recover. The second is to influence the transmission of the disease by determining the “subordination” of the evil. For example, if the body is Yang-rich and Yin-deficient, the evil will mostly transform from Yang to heat, and the disease will mostly evolve to solid heat or deficiency heat; if the body is Yin-rich and Yang-deficient, the evil will mostly transform from Yin to cold, and the disease will mostly transform to solid cold or deficiency cold.
