What is a mild stroke?

Mild stroke is a sudden focal mild neurological deficit due to vascular factors, including transient ischemic attack and acute ischemic mild stroke. Mild stroke has a slow onset and a variety of symptoms, mainly dizziness, headache, aphasia, limb hemiparesis, abnormal sensation in the limbs, and distortion of the mouth and eyes. The recurrence rate of mild stroke is traditionally thought to be low, but actual studies have shown that the risk of recurrence is relatively high, making it a stroke warning event requiring urgent intervention and the best time to initiate secondary prevention.
