There is no specific value for the accuracy of barium meal examination of the stomach. Barium meal is more accurate in checking the structural and functional changes of the stomach, but it is not detailed enough in the visual inspection of the lesion site. 1. Barium meal examination of stomach is to observe the structure and function of stomach under X-ray irradiation by taking barium sulfate solution orally. Barium meal examination can observe whether there is any congenital deformity of the stomach, understand the size, anatomical structure, morphology and other functional changes of the stomach, and also have a higher detection rate in the examination of endopressure diverticulum. 2. Barium meal cannot observe the color of the lesion area and the surrounding mucosal changes from a close distance, nor can it be used for pathological examination through biopsy. If patients need to undergo gastric examination, they should go to the hospital in time, choose the examination method suitable for themselves and follow the doctor’s instructions.
