The chance of recurrence of breast cancer stage II depends on the immunohistochemical typing of the patient, such as ER, HR, PR, whether Her-2 is mutated or not, and also has some relationship with the genotype of the patient and the individual patient. The recurrence rate of stage II breast cancer is higher in some patients, some patients can reach more than 80%, and some patients are lower, i.e. 20%-30%. After regular early surgery, post-operative chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine, some patients can achieve recurrence after 8 or even 10 years. However, some patients do not complete the related treatment and may have recurrence within 2 years. Therefore, stage II breast cancer is mainly treated by surgery, and standardized postoperative radiotherapy, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, combined with traditional Chinese medicine can reduce the risk of breast cancer recurrence and also prolong patients’ survival. Patients with stage II breast cancer should be followed up regularly after surgery, with a review every 3 months for the first 2 years, including chest CT, breast ultrasound, lymph node ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, etc. After 2 years, a review should be conducted every 6 months, and oral Chinese medicine can be taken intermittently to reduce its recurrence. The recurrence rate of breast cancer varies from person to person, depending on the individual patient and the genotype of immunohistochemistry, the recurrence rate may reach 80% in 2 years for some patients and 10% for others.
