Effects of Oxybutynin

Oxybutynin has the effect of relieving smooth muscle spasm, anticholinergic and analgesic. It can act selectively on the bladder forcing muscle, and is clinically used in patients with neurogenic bladder dysfunction for the relief of urinary urgency, urinary frequency, urinary incontinence, nocturia, enuresis and other symptoms. This product can lead to adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting, dry mouth and less sweat, dizziness and drowsiness, blurred vision, palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), constipation, impotence, inhibition of lactation, urticaria. Note that it is contraindicated in patients with glaucoma, gastrointestinal obstruction, lack of intestinal tone due to old age and infirmity, myasthenia gravis, obstructive urinary obstruction, and unstable cardiovascular status. Use with caution in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency and elderly patients. Patients need to use the drug under the guidance of a specialized physician and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions.
