Respiratory pathogens quintuple test is a test for five different pathogens that cause respiratory tract infections, including Chlamydia pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus and coxsackievirus. These pathogens can easily cause upper respiratory tract infections, bronchitis, and pneumonia, and are easily transmitted by droplet transmission and then by respiratory transmission to healthy people in the surrounding area. Therefore, it can be considered a contagious disease, and can generally present clinically with fever, cough, sputum, or a dry cough without sputum. After a clear diagnosis, symptomatic and etiologic treatment can be administered accordingly. For viruses you can choose to use interferon, ribavirin, oseltamivir, etc. For mycoplasma and chlamydia you can choose macrolides, such as erythromycin and azithromycin.
