The white streaks that appear at the base of the thighs are often referred to as swelling lines. They can occur not only on the thighs, but also on the buttocks, waist, and arms. Swelling lines are easily seen in pregnant women, in children during puberty, and in patients who have experienced a significant change in weight within a short period of time. This occurs as a result of the patient’s subcutaneous elastic fibers breaking and repairing themselves. There is no need to panic in these cases, as these swelling lines do not have any impact on health and will not become malignant or continue to deteriorate in the future. In this case, it is sufficient for the patient to continue observation.
