The HPV vaccine produces antibodies in a woman’s body to prevent cervical human papilloma virus infection, and there are three doses of the vaccine. The HPV vaccine is currently available in bivalent, quadrivalent and nine-valent versions, representing the number of HPV types that can be prevented. The number of types of HPV vaccine does not mean that the HPV vaccine is permanent, and annual cervical screening is required.
