How much bone density is normal

Bone density has different normal values according to gender, age and physiological status and cannot be generalized. For postmenopausal women and men over 50 years of age, bone density is mainly based on the T-value, whose normal value should be greater than or equal to -1.0; while for premenopausal women, children, adolescents and men under 50 years of age, bone density should be observed in the Z-value, whose normal value should be greater than or equal to -2.0. For women who have had their ovaries removed, they are considered “postmenopausal” and are judged by the T-value, which should also be greater than or equal to -1.0. If you have abnormal bone density, you need to receive timely treatment, and your doctor will formulate an individualized diagnosis and treatment plan according to your specific condition.
