A lump on the eye

A lump or hard node-like growth on the eye is a condition that is most often seen for two reasons. The first is mydriasis and the second is chalazion, which are two different diseases with different treatment options. Chalazion, also called blepharitis, is caused by pathogenic bacteria infecting the eyelid glands. For this condition, anti-infective symptomatic treatment is given in the early stages and an incision and drainage is required after an abscess has formed. Chalazion, also known as a chalazion cyst, is a painless lump on the eyelid that is a sterile inflammatory condition. For this disease, antibiotic medications are generally not recommended and for some small, asymptomatic chalazia do not need to be treated. If they are relatively large, local heat can be given. After conservative treatment, the lump can not absorb itself for a long time, you can consider surgery to remove.
