Is postpartum recovery necessary?

Postpartum restoration is usually necessary.
After pregnancy and childbirth, women are prone to relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles due to passive dilatation caused by prolonged intra-abdominal high pressure, in addition to separation of the rectus abdominis muscle. In severe cases, this can lead to stress urinary incontinence or uterine prolapse. Mild symptoms may also make women prone to symptoms such as lack of pleasure during sex and vaginal discharge during intercourse.
Therefore, it is necessary to carry out postpartum repair after delivery. Women should have timely pelvic floor muscle repair and rectus abdominis muscle repair to improve the symptoms of pelvic floor muscle laxity and rectus abdominis muscle separation after delivery.
If a woman has urinary incontinence or abnormal vaginal bleeding after delivery, she should consult a doctor as soon as possible and take active treatment in order to avoid delaying her condition.
