Tumor cure means no recurrence for 5 years after treatment. Early-stage breast cancer can mostly be cured by total excision surgery, and some middle and late-stage patients can be cured after surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy and other treatments. According to the staging and molecular typing, breast cancer generally requires comprehensive treatment of radical surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy and so on. Total excision surgery generally refers to total mastectomy, modified radical surgery or radical surgery. Generally, only total excision surgery can cure some early-stage patients, but only total excision surgery is prone to recurrence and metastasis, and most of them need to be assisted with chemotherapy and endocrine therapy. Stage I breast cancer has a cure rate of about 90% after surgery and adjuvant systemic treatment, while the cure rate of Stage I is about 80%, Stage III is 60%, and Stage IV is more difficult to be cured. Whether breast cancer can be cured or not is related to various factors such as stage, molecular typing, histological grading, etc. It is suggested that patients should consult the doctor in time and take active treatment.
