A weak H. pylori positive indicates that the body is already infected with H. pylori, and if not actively controlled and treated, it can lead to further aggravation of H. pylori and even induce the possibility of gastritis, gastric ulcer and even gastric cancer. Therefore, when H. pylori is weakly positive, it should be actively eradicated and, if necessary, fiberoptic gastroduodenoscopy should be completed to assess the possibility of related diseases in the stomach. The main treatment is a quadruple therapy, which consists of two antibiotics combined with a proton pump inhibitor and a bismuth agent, and the treatment cycle is usually 14 days. Prior to treatment, the patient’s history of drug allergies and past medical history are evaluated.
