Eczema precautions

  1. Is there a difference between eczema and dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, etc.? Eczema – dermatitis is a group of inflammatory skin diseases caused by a variety of internal or external factors. Eczema for a vague definition of the term, refers to a number of acute and chronic skin inflammation of unknown etiology, including skin erythema, papules, oozing, crusting and other acute dermatitis, followed by papules, desquamation, mossiness, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation and other chronic processes: for most of the etiology of eczema-dermatitis, is often named a certain dermatitis such as contact dermatitis, solar dermatitis, some etiology is not The cause is not clear or the cause is more complex when still along with eczema, eczema and dermatitis sometimes no boundary, the two can be common, such as atopic eczema is also called atopic dermatitis, seborrheic eczema is also called seborrheic dermatitis, many scholars now prefer to call this type of disease collectively as eczema dermatitis. 2, what are the main stages of eczema? In clinical practice, with acute onset, the lesions consist of erythema, papules and blisters. Cluster into patches, scratching often causes vesicles, exudate, crust and pus changes, unclear edges, often symmetrical distribution, with intense itching is called acute eczema. The acute lesion inflammation is reduced, the exudate is reduced, the course of the disease is prolonged, the lesions are mainly papules, scales and crusts, only a few papules and vesicles or mild infiltration can be called subacute eczema. While the disease is chronic, often with acute attacks. The lesions are more limited, hypertrophic infiltration is significant, the boundaries are clear, more pigmentation is called chronic eczema. 3, eczema is mainly how to treat? The oral medication for eczema is mainly antihistamines with anti-allergic effects, antihistamines have been developed for decades and there are many generations, currently commonly used loratadine, imipramine, etc. have been achieved once a day dosing, drowsiness and other side effects significantly reduced. In addition to antihistamines, there are other anti-allergy drugs such as ketotifen, doxorubicin, montelukast and other drugs that can often be used in combination with antihistamines. For acute eczema patients, calcium can also be used, and for long-term chronic eczema patients, thymidine, reactive stop and other immune modulating drugs can also be used. For severe and stubborn eczema, glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants and other drugs should be considered. Topical medication for eczema is also very important. Acute inflammatory period, only erythema, papules and no exudate can be selected powder or lotion, such as furnace glycerine lotion is the most commonly used, now apply the addition of phenol, camphor or menthol compound furnace glycerine lotion anti-itch effect is better when the inflammation is heavy, vesicles, exudate more appropriate solution wet, such as 3% boric acid solution wet; and for subacute, chronic eczema, now use glucocorticoid creams for more. 4, why can’t long-term “dermaplanin” treatment eczema? 5. Why do you need to change your anti-allergy medication? Different kinds of anti-allergy drugs have their own anti-allergy mechanisms and characteristics, so the focus of various drugs in the treatment of allergic diseases also varies. Resistance exists to any kind of anti-allergy drug. If a patient takes an anti-allergy drug for a long time, the effectiveness of the drug will decrease and it will not have an anti-allergy effect. Therefore, when taking anti-allergy drugs, do not use the same drug for a long time, usually after taking it for three months, you need to change an anti-allergy drug to continue treatment. In fact, in the treatment of allergic diseases, some Chinese medicine therapies such as herbal medicine and acupuncture can also be used in conjunction with the treatment instead of taking medication for a long period of time, which can also achieve good therapeutic effects. Therefore, anti-allergy drugs are best eaten interchangeably. 6, eczema patients should pay attention to what matters on a daily basis? (1) To develop healthy eating habits, avoid partial diet. The daily diet of eczema patients should be light, easy to digest, low salt and less oily food, to eat less milk, fish, eggs and other foods that can aggravate the disease and cause allergies, and do not eat spicy food. For infants and children with eczema, breastfeeding should be done as much as possible. (2) Prevent constipation to ensure that the toxins produced by the lesions are excreted in a timely manner. (3) The frequency of bathing should be controlled. Eczema patients should not bathe too often, preferably once a week. When you take a shower should be better, do not use hot water or excessive cleaning of the lesions, so as not to aggravate the disease. You should use a neutral bath or soap, dry your body in time after washing, and apply topical medication to the affected area. (4) Try to wear soft, loose clothes made of cotton or other natural fibers. Wear less clothes made of artificial fibers and wool that can cause allergies, so as not to aggravate the symptoms of allergy. (5) Pay attention to the control of indoor temperature and humidity. Too hot or too dry environment can lead to recurrence of eczema. Therefore, patients with this disease in the summer to ensure indoor air circulation, in winter when using heating, you can install a humidifier or put a pot of water in the room to maintain the relative humidity, if necessary, you can rub oil-based lotion on the skin to moisturize the skin. (6) Protect the affected area when going out, especially avoid the affected area from wind or prolonged exposure to sunlight, so as not to aggravate the condition by drying the skin. (7) When itching is unbearable, pat the affected area or apply anti-itch medication to stop itching, but do not scratch the affected area vigorously. For infants and children with poor control, cut their nails short or put gloves on them when they sleep to prevent infection caused by unconscious scratching of the affected area. In addition, eczema patients in general should keep a happy mood, avoiding tension, depression, anxiety, irritability, anger and other negative emotions, which is also conducive to the recovery of the disease.
