Lily belongs to the same source of medicine and food. Dried lily has the effect of moisturizing the lungs, relieving cough and tranquilizing the heart and mind.
Dried lily, sweet flavor, slightly cold in nature; attributed to the lung, heart, stomach meridian. Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of tuberculosis cough, hot flashes (a burst of fever), yin deficiency coughing up blood, lung carbuncle, residual heat after fever, trance, neurasthenia, heartburn and insomnia.
Wind-cold cough and cold loose stools (feces thin and unformed) should not take dried lily. The adverse effects of Dried Lily of the Valley are not known. Diet should be light, avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy, cold, greasy food.
The efficacy of single Chinese medicine is limited. Clinically, it should be used in combination with other Chinese medicines after identification by a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.
