What does it mean when the ducts in the liver are still clear?

Intrahepatic ductal structure still clear means that the intrahepatic bile ducts show up more clearly, a medical term used in liver ultrasound diagnosis. They can be seen in both normal livers and in mild liver lesions. In a normal liver, the tubular structure of the blood vessels and bile ducts in the liver parenchyma is well organized, and the hepatic veins and portal veins are clearly visible, which can be expressed in the ultrasound description as the intrahepatic ductal structure is still clear. If the patient suffers from chronic hepatitis B, fatty liver and other liver parenchymal diseases, when the condition is mild, the liver ultrasound examination will find that the liver is mildly enlarged, and the intrahepatic ducts are clear; however, when the condition is serious, such as cirrhosis, the intrahepatic ducts are not clear or are narrower. If the intrahepatic ducts are found to be clear on examination and physiologic factors are excluded, timely consultation should be made to avoid delaying the condition.
