Whether a mixed ground glass nodule is serious or not should be judged according to the nature of the nodule; if it is benign, it is not serious, while if it is malignant, treatment needs to be started as early as possible. There are various reasons for the presence of mixed ground glass nodules in the lungs, the most serious case is lung cancer nodules, while generally larger mixed ground glass nodules, round and round-like nodules larger than 8mm, with surrounding lobules, burrs and vacuoles, have a higher probability of malignancy, and need timely treatment. In addition lung inflammation, tuberculosis caused by bleeding, followed by mechanization, fibrosis to form scar, it may show signs of ground glass lung nodules on imaging. Generally, these benign nodules are not serious, and if asymptomatic, regular review and follow-up every 3 to 6 months to dynamically observe the changes in the ground glass nodules is sufficient. Mixed ground-glass nodules need to be actively consulted and treated according to the doctor’s instructions.
