Is it normal to have an 8mm lining after ovulation?

The endometrial thickness of 8mm after ovulation is an abnormality. The endometrial lining must be at least 9mm during ovulation for the fertilized egg to have a chance to be laid. Therefore, the endometrial lining may also be thin due to the lack of estrogen in the body, or there may be a history of abortion, curettage, or diagnostic scraping in the past, resulting in damage to the endometrial lining and adhesions in the uterine cavity. Hysteroscopy is recommended to rule out the possibility of cavity adhesions if necessary, and to separate the adherent tissues so that the endometrium will gradually return to normal.
